I was once told “if you have an innovation and want to do something bigger than yourself, share it with 100 people for feedback and refining.” I had shared my idea with maybe 7 people in person before the PSWA pitch perfect event came up, and I had a “why not” moment. 

 What has been the most impactful decision to my pharmacy practice and innovation was meeting pharmacy leaders who after the event have continuously given me their time and mentorship in how to grow my seedling project. On top of that, I won the PSWA prize! 

 What was the prize? 

An Entrepreneurial Mindset Boot Camp run by the Centre for Research and Innovation (CERI) started by Perth’s Charlie Bass (mining millionaire turned innovator). The two day mindset boot camp was incredible for motivation and to build momentum. During the bootcamp you to get together with other local innovators and start ups to dissect your idea. You work in teams of 5-6 people from different industries to make sense of your innovation and gain their cross industry feedback and input. 

 You also get to be part of their CERI alumni and attend their events and guest speaker sessions anytime! (Thanks for the ticket in PSWA!) 

 All it took was a “why not” thought and today Mindwise Education has matured in ways it couldn’t have without Pharma Pitch Perfect @PSWA Innovation for Health . There’s still a lot of research and development for me but I have a clearer direction and goal since teaming up with pharmacy mentors and through the workshop with CERI.
