Presenters:

Amanda Bryce - Amanda is a community pharmacist who has owned Gerald Burns Pharmacy in Bicton for 14 years. She is a credentialed pharmacist, lecturer at UWA and Curtin  and diabetes educator with a passion for gut health. Believing that..."you are not what you eat but what you absorb" and that so many chronic illnesses start in the gut, she has helped hundreds of patients gain greater health through improved gut function. Helping patients improve their health outcomes through great gut health is her most satisfying work as a pharmacist.

Sean Grieve - Sean’s innovation journey began whilst he was working at Joondalup Hospital Pharmacy and continued on for over a decade. Sean was given the opportunity to lead the implementation of onsite sterile compounding for oncology. In addition, he developed many other software solutions for the pharmacy.

This ongoing interest in software development led him to the start-up of Zepli, where he has been a director since 2016. Sean's focus at Zepli is to improve software and workflow within the health sector, particularly for pharmacies. His background in hospital pharmacy and compounding motivates him to develop systems that promote safety, assist the efficiency of pharmacists, and encourage collaboration with other health professionals.

Teresa Di Franco - As an early career pharmacist Teresa witnessed diabetic family members and patients struggling with the management of their medicines and all the associated allied health and specialist appointments required. Teresa became a credentialled diabetes educator and saw a need for a clinic that would provide access to a range of professionals that support diabetic patients. This led her to open Perth Diabetes Care (PDC), a health hub that is attached to her pharmacy. Perth Diabetes Care now employs diabetes educators, exercise physiologists, dietitians, podiatrists, psychologists and physiotherapists. Working as one, the PDC health team help patients achieve health goals and provide the best clinical advice and education from health professionals that are experts in their field.
